Hi guys I am back with another video , I’m this video we will be discussing about anthropometric factors like height , so how do we measure the height ?, if the age of the baby is less than 2 years then we measure the length , if the age is greater than 2 years we measure the height . The device which is used to measure length is infantometer . The device which is used to measure height is stadiometer . The supine length of a child is 0.7 to 1 cm more than the standing height . Let us come to know about the precautions while we measure the height of a child using a stadiometer , remove any kind of hair accessories and footwear if the child is wearing , the child should stand with occiput , back of shoulder , buttocks and the back of heel touching the vertical line behind . The child should look straight in horizontally forward plane , in infants two people are required to measure the height , one is required to fix the vertical board at the head of the child , other is required to stretch or extend the legs of the infant
Now let us come to know about the length and height of the child, the length increases by 50 cm, by 3 months it increases by 60 cm, by 9 months it increases by 70 cm , by 1 year it increases by 75 cm, by 2 years it increases by 90 cm , by 4 to 4.5 years it increases by 100 cm . By these data we have come to know that the length of the child increases by 50 percent on the first year and the maximum growth of the child takes place during the first year followed by puberty .
Now let us come to know about the formula that we can use to calculate its 6x + 77 cm where x stands for age in years .
So this is all about height . See you in the next video , thank you !
